Southside Family Support

Southside’s Peasedown Community Hub Group takes place after school each week on Fridays. during term-time.

The group includes a range of creative play activities and enables peer support – local families supporting each other on an equal basis based on shared experience. The groups close with a free shared family meal, prepared by our professional chef.

Throughout the winter, the hub groups offer warm welcoming spaces in the heart of our communities.

The group has a Steering Group of parents/carers, supported by staff and volunteers, who shape priorities for their group and help to run each session. The groups enable all family members across generations to socialise, meet and support each other and engage in creative play and other activities.

The groups provide opportunities for children and families to access the right support when they need it, and for families supported by Southside to stay connected.
